How do you drag yourself to workout when you're just not feeling it?! We ALL have those days, even myself! Here are 5 ways that I stay motivated! Buy and then put on a cute pair of workout clothes (I just gave you permission to go shopping)! You should feel good in your workout clothes so that you can focus on the workout and not how frumpy you look in an old pair of sweats and a t-shirt. After buying a cute pair of clothes, put them on! The fact that you're just wearing workout clothes will get your mind and body ready to move, plus do you really want to feel the guilt changing out of your workout clothes without working out first?
Ask yourself if you'll regret NOT working out? Especially if you're someone who only has time to workout first thing in the morning. When you're laying there thinking about how good sleep feels, ask yourself if that sleep feels as good as how guilty you'll feel later for not working out. And think about how GOOD you'll feel AFTER the workout!

Sign up for a membership at a group fitness studio like Infinite CU. Group fitness classes keep me the most motivated especially when I'm not motivated to workout on my own. I look forward to seeing the other members and the energy that the group setting gives you is the best! Plus once you're there you have no choice but to push through the workout because you won't want to be THAT person that quits or walks out early.

Have a plan. The worst way to start a workout is to sit there scratching your head wondering what you should do; it wastes time and doesn't guarantee a good and effective workout. Start every Sunday with a plan going into the week. I physically write down or highlight which classes or workouts I'm going to be doing each day and the time of day that I'm going to do it. I have something to look forward to each day and it mentally prepares my mind. No backing out once the plan is in place! Of course life happens, so always have a plan B.
Whatever you do, do something you LOVE and look forward to! There's nothing worse than dreading a workout that you don't enjoy (that would immediately bring down my motivation). Find at least 1 to 2 workouts that get you excited and boosts your confidence. The exercise options today are endless, there has to be something that you actually enjoy. Be open minded to trying something new, be brave and be up for new challenges. If you're afraid, ask a professional for guidance, they're always happy to help!
Now get to work!
