Total Body Circuit

Short on equipment? Traveling for the weekend and need something easy, quick and effective? Or just want to switch things up and do something fun?!
Grab a workout partner or do this on your own; but it’s more fun with a partner to help push you along!
Kenny and I spent the weekend at my parents house. They have a workout room with some weights and a treadmill. So I came up with this quick 36 minute total body circuit that we could do together to start off our Saturday! All you need is access to a treadmill or running area and dumbbells of various weights (depending on how heavy you lift).
If you’re doing this with a partner one will start on the treadmill while the other starts with an EMOM (we did this due to the equipment available and it worked out well).
The partner who is running will run at a steady pace that is challenging. The other partner will set their timer for 9 minutes. Set a warning bell to go off 10 seconds before the minute ends, but no rest time. I use the RoundTimer app. for this. At the top of each minute you will always complete the buy in exercise, then follow the buy in with either exercise A, B or C. For example: minute 1 you will complete 8 push ups plus 15 bicep curls before the minute is up. At the 10 second warning take a quick break to get ready for the next minute. Minute 2 will be 8 push ups plus 15 front presses. Minute 3 will be 8 push ups plus 15 bent over flys. Continue to rotate through that rotation for 9 minutes total.
At the end of the 9 minute interval, rest for no longer than a minute before you start your next 9 minute round.
Be prepared to get sweaty! Make it fun with your partner by seeing who can run a longer distance in 9 minutes! (Guess who won that contest between Kenny and me…?!?)
