Online Fitness and Nutrition Coaching

Often I get asked what kinds of services I offer and what a day in Curly's work life looks like? Here it is in a nut shell! I will explain everything that I currently offer as well as who the service could benefit. In short, I wake up before the crack of dawn and go to bed when the sun sets. In the hours I'm awake I train clients one on one and teach group classes. Outside of the gym I check in with my online clients, write workout programs and plan for my next class. In my down time I work on my own strength gains, think about my next move to torture people with, and plan which amazing, healthy meal I'm going to impress Kenny with next. Oh ya, and somewhere in there I pet and play with my three crazy cats and search the internet for new ways to tame curly hair. On a more serious note, here's what I offer...

Services: 1. Personal Training. What: I've been a personal trainer for 3 years now, and have my bachelors degree in Kinesiology and am a Certified Onnit Academy Foundations Trainer. Fitness and helping people reach fitness and weight loss goals has been a passion of mine since a young age. Watching my clients succeed in doing things that they once couldn't do is pure joy. I currently train clients one on one in person in the Champaign, IL area. The main gym I train at is Infinite CU, but I do travel occasionally to my clients gym depending on location, equipment available and if we both have access to the gym. Sessions are 1 hour and we meet 2-3x's a week.

Who: Personal training is great for those who... A. don't feel comfortable in a group setting or don't like working out in front of others. At Infinite CU personal training is private, meaning the gym is not open to the public during personal training sessions. B. Need special attention on form. Quality over quantity is best when seeking results. Improper form can lead to injuries as well as lack of getting the results you want. I focus on form with my clients before pushing them to the next level. C. Need a little extra push and accountability. If you get distracted easily during your workouts, have a hard time staying motivated during working out or staying accountable to yourself for sticking to a program then hiring a trainer may just be what you need. I will keep you on track during sessions, push you to your maximum effort and also keep you accountable to showing up. D. Don't know how to get the results you're after or just want to increase your fitness to the next level. I write a plan for each individuals needs, and will guide you through it from start to end making sure that you're doing what you need to do to succeed. 2. Small Group Training. What: Small group training sessions are in person training sessions with you and 2-3 buddies. Sessions are 1 hour and we meet 2-3x's a week. Who: Small group training is great for those who... A. Have more fun when they workout with friends and like the extra motivation and accountability from your close friends. B. Want to cut down cost. When you train with a buddy, you'll get a discount on your sessions. 3. Nutrition Support. What: Have you heard of Whole30? I've completed 30 full days of the program and have seen the best results yet in the way that I feel inside and out, and still follow the plan 90% of the time. It's easier to stick to a plan when you get support from those who are doing it also. I also realize that completing a strict 30 days of the Whole30 with no slips is hard to do. That's why I help you complete a modified version of the program from start to finish. I provide my clients with the following: - Guidelines to the meal plan - Meal Template - My Typical Day and Recipes - A guide showing you how to add in treats! * The groups consist of up to 10 people working towards improving their nutrition habits so that they can feel better and lose unwanted weight or inches. My groups are hosted on Facebook through a private group. Only the participants in the group can view what is shared. New groups start at the beginning of each month. Who: If you want to gain control over your nutrition, eliminate cravings, restore a healthy metabolism and reduce systematic inflammation I highly recommend you give this group a go! You’ll start to discover how certain foods are truly impacting how you look, how you feel and your quality of life. No one is expected to be perfect, so I show you how to incorporate a lifestyle that is heavier on good nutrition and lighter on the treats. 4. Online Coaching. What: A personalized workout write up for you to do on your own at your gym or at home. We will discuss what equipment you have available as well as your goals. I will check in with you weekly to make sure you're staying on track. Who: Great for those who have a sporadic schedule, and don't need very much assistance on form.
